Water is about 60% of you. It regulates your temperature, cushions your joints, moves nutrients in and waste out through your kidneys and liver. It is the one thing you consume more of than anything else. And most of us have no idea what is in it.
Chlorine you can taste? Lead from old service lines? Hardness quietly eating your water heater? Forever chemicals, pharmaceuticals, microplastics? Your city publishes a water quality report every year, and the water leaving the plant passes federal standards. But standards are minimums, and passing them is not the same as knowing what comes out of your faucet, after miles of city water mains and your own home's piping. The only way to know is to test yours.
Plumbing exists to bring clean water into a home and carry dirty water out. That is the whole trade. So we think every home we serve should know what is coming out of the faucet, and get simple options for what to do about it. Not a sales pitch. Just solutions.

We hear that about water treatment equipment all the time. A softener or filter installed ten years ago and never checked since is a guess, not protection. Media wears out. Membranes clog. What does the free water test check?
The basic test checks hardness, iron, pH, chlorine, TDS (total dissolved solids), and nitrates. It works on city water or well water, and we tell you what we found in plain English.
Can you test for lead, forever chemicals, or pharmaceuticals?
Yes, with advanced water testing. It checks for pharmaceuticals, heavy metals like lead and arsenic, forever chemicals (PFAS), and more. Mention it on the form or when we call.
How does the twice-a-year test kit work?
It comes with Mackin Protect. We ship a kit to your house, you fill the vial and send it back in the prepaid envelope, and we email you a clear report on how your water and your equipment are doing, with any adjustments we recommend.
Where does the $329 value come from?
It covers the service fee to gather the samples plus the testing costs. Mackin Protect members get it included with their membership.
Do I have to be a Mackin Protect member?
No. The free water test is open to everyone, city water or well water. The twice-a-year kit is the Protect benefit, and you can join Protect any time for $239 a year. Call 330-825-3686 to join.

Single and twin-tank Clack softeners sized to a free in-home water test. Installed prices in writing, $2,255 to $4,547, and we service what we install.
Reverse Osmosis
Four-stage PuroMax under-sink RO with its own faucet, $1,216 to $1,222 installed. Owner-supplied units installed for $533. We service what we install.
Whole-House Water Filters
In-line filters, Mackin Pure City, and Mackin Pure Soft. Chlorine taste, odor, and scale handled at the main line, $744 to $3,609 installed.
